Our mission at In Concord is to strengthen the communities that help Lutherans form faithful families.
By bringing together existing networks of Lutherans, cultivating lay resources, and offering strategic guidance for church resilience, we create opportunities for our laity to meet and foster a culture where families can form and prosper within the church.
We saw:
Each of these problems has its own causes. However, each of them involves a lack of fellowship among Lutherans and a weakening of our communities despite the faithful Word and Sacrament ministry of our church.
Following a year of in-depth interviews with pastors, laity, and experts across our synod and informed by feedback solicited at three national conferences this past summer—including the 2023 LCMS National Convention—In Concord is now beginning to work on drawing together our community, starting with young adults.
In Concord accepts the Scriptures as the inspired and inerrant Word of God.
We subscribe unconditionally to all the symbolical books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as a true and unadulterated statement and exposition of the Word of God.
